Gravity: A Vintage Affair
Our show began as a contemporary showcase based on what we defy every time we perform: Gravity. Lights up on an apple falling from above a la Sir Isaac Newton, continuing with a lovely aerialist floating in the air on her draped silk. From there we enter a whimsical party with a cast of five characters, performing on a variety of apparatus from the spectacular silks to a spinning rope and dazzling hoop. We layered the ideas and concepts surrounding gravity with the music & dance styles of the 30′s and 40′s., but with a remixed contemporary flair. With a combination of Broadway style dance, acrobatic skills and a hip yet classic soundtrack, we arrive at Gravity: A Vintage Affair – a contemporary spin to the classic circus of the past. This lighthearted affair is dynamic, sexy, humorous, and the perfect combination of dance and circus.
